Welcome to the 37th Annual GeoDaze Symposium, a student-run showcase of graduate and undergraduate research in the Earth Sciences at the University of Arizona.

The organizers of GeoDaze 2009 would like to thank everyone who helped us make this year's symposium a success. In addition to the graduate students who organized GeoDaze, we would like to thank the generous sponsors who made this symposium possible and all of the presenters who shared their research. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.

Keynote Address
From controversy to consensus: Making the case for recent climatic change in the Arctic using lake sediments
GeoDaze 2009 is pleased to announce that Dr. John Smol will be giving this year's keynote address on Friday, April 3rd. Dr. Smol is a Professor in the Department of Biology, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, and is the holder of the Canada Research Chair in Environmental Change.

AEG/AHS Student Night
The Arizona Section of the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG) and the Arizona Hydrological Society (AHS) will be co-hosting the Fourth Annual Arizona AEG Student Night meeting on Thursday April 2, 2009, 5:30 PM to 9 PM. For additional details, please see the AEG website.
